In 1994, a portion of Frank Lloyd Wright's Unitarian Meeting House in Madison, Wisconsin was being re-roofed, and the copper sheets trucked off for scrap. That was when designer Scott Lesh decided to purchase large quantities of the material to create sculptural works, as well as a line of limited edition jewelry.
Each piece is made from portions of the historic roof, red brass, sterling silver, and freshwater pearls.
